Robber Competition #2- "Backroom Horse Betting"
At the back of this nice little bar, things get a little more dark. Things get a bit risky, money gets involved, and you gotta ride some cash on some horses to succeed back here. The perfect environment for not such an honest fellow. A Robber perhaps...
For this challenge we will all be meeting in an AIM chatroom, so get on your official game AIM if you're not in it, and be prepared for some betting.
There will be 6 horses you can bet on in each race. The number listed to the left of the horse is it's "value". This number is higher not based on skill, but rather based on how unlikely it is that they will actually win the race.
You all will start off with 100 dollars. For each race you will be able to place any amount of money that is at least 1/10 of your total on one horse. I will then roll dice to measure the horses performance. Getting an odd total will cause the amount you placed on those horses to be divided by that odd number, and rounded down to the nearest whole number. So if you placed 20 on a horse, and I rolled a 3. You would end up getting back only 6 dollars.
If you bet however on a horse, and an even total is rolled you will have the amount of money you placed on that horse multiplied by that total. So if you played 20 dollars on a horse, and the total roll was 4, you would end up getting back 80 dollars.
You all will also have two special items you can use once and only once per person.
A. Undo Chip: When you use this, the results you incurred from the last race will be undone. That is to say you will get back the money you bet as if that last race never happened.
B. Double Chip: When you recieve back money, you may use this chip, and the amount you just got back from a race will be doubled.
Remember you each have only one of each of these to play.
After three races the individual with the least money every third race will be eliminated from the challenge on the spot. The only other rule for this game is you MUST bet at least 1/10 of your total money each race.
The last person standing will win this challenge, and be the next robber.
See you at 9:00PM on AIM. You will be automatically eliminated if you are not online and in the chat ready to play by 9:05PM.
