Hello Russell and Tracy! Congrats on Final Two!
Miss me? Well, obviously I am here to replace a juror who didn't show up but that's okay, I'm not proud. I have been following the game since I left (mostly to root for Rocky) and I have some definite thoughts on this final two. I will do my best not to be a bitch but, I can't guarantee anything.
Okay so I have read the love fest between Tracy and Russell and I really have to say it is a bit sickening. Maybe you were both just lying to me in the beginning but I seem to remember there wasn't that much love lost between the two of you way back then....
Russell, you were mad that I gave Tracy the gem I stole when I won that Robber comp - why you thought you deserved it instead of her I have no idea. But, that was one of your reasons to me that you broke off from "our side" and went to join the boys. Not that it was a bad move for you. Obviously, you were able to hang out under their protection until Tracy took them all out for you, so well done.
Tracy, you were not the happiest with Russell, as I recall. You had a lot of not-so-nice words about him so when I hear you sit here and say that you brought him into the game and you were the closest to him out of everyone I am a bit surprised. He not only ratted out our alliance but he turned traitor and joined the side that was after you. Either way, you managed to stick around, began winning comps when it counted, and made some good strategic moves.
So, I have a question for each of you, but before you answer my questions, please go back and add me to all the other juror questions asked so far. You know, the ridiculously annoying, self-gratifying questions posted by Silas, Marcus, Kelly, and whoever else? I would like to be included since I am now a juror, after all.
Sugar's Questions:
Russell - The night you voted me out we had a long talk about the game, revealed some of our pent-up frustrations, reasons, strategies, etc. It was pretty honest I thought and, even though you ended up voting me out, I enjoyed talking to you. You explained why you just couldn't vote to keep me in the game - you had crossed a line and said you couldn't go back.
After watching you play the game this is what I have observed: I see you as someone who knew they couldn't win competitions and did what they needed to do in order to stay safe. I noticed you always showing up for challenges, always plugging away, but never won anything until the end. You hung in there even though you were low man on the guys' totem pole and waited for your savior, Tracy, to come along and sweep you off your feet.
I see you as playing a very passive game. One that did indeed work for you...but it does seem like a coward's game to me. You sided with the power - always. You were carried along by someone - always. And I see you as being carried to the end by Tracy. I like strong players and I just don't see how you were strong in this game. I feel like you crossed a line in the game that makes it difficult for me to give you my gems. Convince me that I'm wrong. Convince me that you were strong, took stands, were courageous and deserve to win them (and yes, I DO have gems now - yay!).
Tracy - You disappointed me in the beginning of the game. I worked really really hard to win for our side and you flaked several of the earlier challenges. You had reasons why you couldn't make it at times and there was more than one time when I felt like I was doing it all on my own. In any event, there did come a time - well after my untimely demise - where you started showing up and kicking ass. I was really proud of you!
You got Ethan out of the game, which was a pivotal move for you. Good job at not going with your emotions and wasting that execution on Silas. Sadly, by that time Rocky was gone but I could at least tune in and root for Tracy! It was really a joy to see you do so well and kick those boys' hinies. You deserve to be where you are. You are strong, girl. You fought them all and you got here so, yay you!
My initial question was going to be: "Why did you decide to even up the odds between you and Russell at the end?" I read why but I still don't quite get it. If you and Russ had worked together from day one, always been on the same side, had never been against each other and always had each other's backs, then I might be able to understand it. You can explain that further if you wish but, at this point, all I really want to hear from you now is why YOU deserve to win the game over Russell. Not why you aren't as witty or amusing as Russell, not that you aren't good at parodies, none of that. Without one self-deprecating word from you I want to hear why YOU were the better player and why YOU deserve my gems and Russell does not.
I refuse to split up these seven babies so whoever wins one of them wins them all. Good luck to you both!
